## About this design

For many of us, Christmas means a night at the ballet. This piece captures that feeling: a pair of satin pointe shoes with long pink ribbons resting on blush tulle, surrounded by glass ornaments, pearls, a sprig of fir and a single cherry-red bow.

It's soft, graceful and quietly festive, which makes it as lovely in a dancer's bedroom as it is in a dressing room or powder room. The palette works year round, so it doesn't have to come down when the tree does.

Give it to a young dancer after her first recital, to a dance teacher at the end of term, or to the friend who goes to see the Nutcracker every December without fail. It's a keepsake that celebrates years of practice and a lifetime of loving dance.
